Few people knew what a wonderful visual artist Ray was. During a holiday in Nova Scotia in 2001, Ray became inspired by a painter there, and he took up the paint brush on his return to Toronto, and for the next 3 years he produced a collection of beautiful landscapes and flowers, all done in acrylics. His paintings show the depth of feeling and colours of his soul. Ray's gentle spirit shines through his art in a love for detail and beauty. This same care and loving attention showed in all other areas of his life as well, but perhaps most of all in his music.
